I had same issue, FMRTE didnt auto detect an update, i had to manually update by going to settings in FMRTE and selecting to check for updates from there.

At the moment it's not possible to do that, I'm currently working on improve preset manager to support this kind of actions, but I cannot give any ETA for that to be delivered.
