This FMRTE Privacy Policy (“Policy”) outlines the information that fmrte.com (“fmrte”, “we”, “us” or “our”) gathers, how we use that information, and the options you have to access, correct, or delete such information.

 

At fmrte.com, we recognize that privacy of your personal information is important. Here is information on what types of personal information we receive and collect when you use visit fmrte.com, and how we safeguard your information. We never sell, rent, share, or otherwise disclose your personal information to third parties.

 

1. INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE

a) Account registration information (email address and display name).

  • Email Address - To complete your registration, we require a valid email address to send a verification email.
    Your email address is private, and is only visible to Administrators or forum Moderators.
    We required a valid email address in order to reduce the number of spam and content published by bots.
  • Display Name - This is how other members will see you in our community, this name is public and visible to anyone visiting our forum.

 

b) Settings and preferences from your "Account Settings" such as your communication preferences and additional profile information.
The the additional profile information that you can fill out (e.g. profile picture, location, interests, birth date and gender), is optional and can be left empty.
 

c) Your published content (forum posts, comments, uploaded files).
All content generated by our users, is publicly accessible to anyone accessing our website or forum.


d) Customers - Members of our website, can purchase a premium (through a License code) version of our software (FMRTE) via the Fastspring service.

 

Fastspring is an external online store. We do not store any payment or customer information provided by our customers during the checkout process at Fastspring.
We store the Transaction Id and the License code generated for each purchase made at Fastspring, so that we can manage our software activation's, and to allow our customers access their licenses through our Client Area.

e) Premium license activation

When a license is activated, our software (FMRTE) shares with our server (fmrte.com) a machine id, that is needed to complete the activation process. The machine id does not contain any personal information. It's generated based on unique identifiers of parts of your device hardware (such as motherboard, harddrives) hashed together into a single identifier.

 

f) Log Files

The information in the log files include your device type (desktop, tablet or mobile), your IP address, browser type (such as Edge, Chrome or Firefox), the time you visited our site and which pages you visited throughout our site. We may see your geographic location based on the IP address.

 

Our log files are used for analyzing our website's performance, and to help us handle some with security threats (for example, mitigate DDoS attacks, or block spam bots). In such cases, we might need to apply some IP bans.

 

g) Cookies
We do use cookies to store information, such as your personal preferences when you visit our site. This could include only showing you a popup once in your visit, or the ability to login to some of our features, such as forums.

 

2. THIRD PARTY USAGE

a) We use third party tracking services (Google Analytics) that use cookies and page tags.
We do this to collect aggregated and anonymized data about our website visitors. The data might include usage and user stats.
You may prevent your data from being used by Google Analytics by using the official GA Opt-Out browser add-on.
 

b) We use a third party ticket system (Freshdesk)

In order to provide a better support experience to our members and customers, we use an external ticketing system.

When you submit a support request (via Client Area, or by sending an email to support @fmrte.com) your email address and display name might be shared with Freshdesk. This is required to allow our ticket system to notify you regarding any update with your request.

c) Delete cookies and/or block certain ads

You can choose to disable or selectively turn off our cookies or third-party cookies in your browser settings, or by managing preferences in programs such as Norton Internet Security. However, this can affect how you are able to interact with our site as well as other websites. This could include the inability to login to services or programs, such as logging into our forums or your member account.

Deleting cookies does not mean you are permanently opted out of any advertising program. Unless you have settings that disallow cookies, the next time you visit a site running the advertisements, a new cookie will be added.

You can't stop getting ads online, but you can remove some unwanted ads. You can also stop getting ads that are based on your interests and info (IBA). Please refer to Google's relevant support article on how to block certain ads.

 

3. DATA SUBJECT RIGHTS

a) You have the right to update your personal or/and account information through your Account Settings.

 

b) You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data that is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or processed, or if you withdraw your consent to processing and there is no other legal ground for the processing.

To exercise this right, you can make a request through a Support Request via your Client Area or by sending an email to support @fmrte.com.

We will respond within thirty (30) days and delete your personal data unless we have a legal obligation or legitimate interest to retain it.

4. COMMUNICATION PREFERENCES

You may manage your receipt of communications by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link located on the bottom of such emails, or through the Notifications Settings in your Account Settings.

 

5. DATA SECURITY, DATA INTEGRITY, AND ACCESS

We take all reasonable steps to protect information we receive from you from loss, misuse or unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and/or destruction. We have put in place appropriate measures to safeguard and secure your information, and we make use of privacy-enhancing technologies such as encryption. Third Parties

Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google utilizes the Data collected to track and examine the use of this website, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services.
Spam Defense
The IPS Spam Defense Service passes the email address and IP address of the registering member to the service to determine the likelihood a registering account is a spam source.
Invisible reCAPTCHA
This site uses a CAPTCHA to ensure humans are performing certain actions. The CAPTCHA provider may set a session cookie and get information about your internet browser and device accessing this website.
