MushroomHead
Hi, I am very new to FMRTE, I need to know how do I prevent other clubs from poaching my staff or prevent my staff from getting jobs offers from other clubs? Thanks for your help!
greyfox
Add your club to his Like Team relations and add your name to one of his Like Person relations too. Also, increasing his loyalty will help too. What will further help your cause is to give them a very improved contract from their original one. kingpug
Aye this has always been a major pain in my ass, best thing to do is offer then an improved contract as GREYFOX said and give them as much as possible then lower it later, I find this often works but I've never tried editing their relations etc.
Aduasen
Just set the contract length to lets say 20 years. That will make it way too expensive even for major clubs to pay the fee to buy them out of the contract. What always helps: Lower their reputation since most of the big clubs go for reputation when searching for their shortlists. I always get myself young (35-40 years) nobodies with poor stats, who get a low salary Then I drop their REP to 100 and set the contract length to 20 years. This way it never happened again to me that a staff member has been bought out of contract by bigger clubs.

wkdsoul
Dont forget the reversal, as soon as a bid comes in,if it does, add the club, the manager and as many people as you can too his disliked people
Kayvaan
you can also talk to them and ask them to stay.
kingpug
you can also talk to them and ask them to stay. I find this often works even if you just give them what they suggest but it's not guaranteed to, it's still safer to offer them a huge wage and edit it afterwards or mess about with relations and the likes, either way I think staff get poached far too often in FM and sometimes they go to worse teams, not quite sure what the logic is behind it in all honesty.
