    Yes, the packages folder is where the updater stores updates, those files you listed are generated by the updated and used during the update process

    Responding as I was looking for this myself and found the answer. You can find the presets within a hidden folder in your user profile. You can unhide by opening your home folder and pressing SHIFT + Command + . Mac HD > Users > [username] > .config > FMRTE 24 > Presets
