Is there a way to speed up the growth of a player? I usually just loan my players with high PA but low CA, but it takes so long to make them strong enough to start them in the main XI.

There are multiple ways to do this.  Here are a few:

(a) Increase the player's CA & PA to max and as he ages, his stats will increase or you can just age him to an appropriate number.

(b) Increase his hidden (personality) attributes to max to greatly increase his development.

(c) Tutor him through an experienced player.

There are other ways, you just need to experiment to find your own technique.

As it has been emphasised many times over on the SI forums, you play the game your way so this will mean you create your own techniques and methods that work for you.  You even use software alongside the game to grow your experience.

Hey man, sorry to bother you again. When you say "increase his hidden attributes (personality) to max" do you also mean the "hidden" ones like consistency, dirtiness, versatility etc. that are not in the personality section? Thanks

It's alright.  I meant the personality attributes i.e. Ambition, Sportsmanship, etc accordingly of course.

Change all the personality to 99 and determination to 20

@Ramie Bay i have tried that in previous fm's and going beyond 20 for ambition made all the players cocky little buggers and never sign a contract

yes in previous fm's i set as a test ambition to 127 and on contract screen he is happy with terms offered few days later you get a massage saying player is unhappy with contract terms offered so i would just set ambition to 20 and sportsmanship 127 etc
