Does the 'Delete local game content..' feature affect FMRTE?

I am having an ongoing issue with my assistant manager not being fully recognised in my saved game. The assistant manager works, it is just that the suitability for position green circle in team selection, and throughout the game,  is no longer visible. Also, I don't get get any info on reserve player ability and potential. After verifying and clearing the cache the feature came back briefly, but this no longer works as a solution.

My question is: if I reinstall the game via the 'Delete local game content..' option on Steam, will all my FMRTE edits still be recognised in my saved game?

In my experience, it does not.  I have plenty of occasions used the delete game content button and reloaded my save back into FM.  I have never noticed anything out of the ordinary.  I guess that is just me as I like to keep my system clean, organised and monitored.

Just so I'm clear, when you reinstalled FM and loaded your saved game your FMRTE edits were still intact, or they weren't?

I'm with you on the clean and organised system.

Unless FMRTE starts writing directly into the Steam game folder, there is no reason this could affect it.

Besides removing 'local game content', there might also be some issues in the other folders FM writes to. For example, the kind of preference and cache files that would be implicated in a problem like the one you describe live in
%localappdata%\Sports Interactive\

The save games and other files you do not want to delete (but would want to backup / copy to a new PC) are in:
%userprofile%\Documents\Sports Interactive\

I backup my save every time I stop playing FM, even If I play FM just to do some edits.

over the years have learnt lessons re that I tend to back up every hour of game time that way if it does go belly up not lost too much

I am about to clean out some of my old back ups as the file on my D drive has grown a tad:lol:
