Forum rules

Introduction

Read these regularly to keep yourself informed.  If you have any questions or feedback, do let us know and we will do our best to keep the forum rules relevant and up to date.

 

General rules

(a) There is to be no talk whatsoever of piracy of any kind in the forum.

(b) If you are unsure on any content listed on the forum, contact either Quiroga  Culturedleftfoot.

(c) Do not disrespect, name-call, belittle anyone or post any profanity on the forums.If you do you will be warned/banned at the discretion of staff..

(d) Do not talk about other real time editors anywhere in the forums, or similar products.

(e) The staff will not tolerate use of pirated FM nor FMRTE.  If you are caught, you will be banned.

(f) Before submitting/posting any file for download you need to contact Admin via your client area to seek approval.

If you continue not to follow the rules your posts will be remove and warnings/bans issued accordingly.

Posts rules

(a) Before posting your issue(s), you must read and follow this thread, then post accordingly.

(b) Irrelevant threads will be moved to their relevant forum.  Persistent offenders will be warned/punished at a moderator's discretion.

(c) Spam posts will be deleted and the user banned.

(d) Moderators can delete/lock/hide topics and posts that do not follow the rules and without any warning or notice.

(e) Prior to creating a topic, attach a relevant tag or tags.

(f) Do not intrude on someone else's thread.  Create your own thread for your issue(s).

(g) Before reporting anything, make sure you have made the decision after careful consideration. If prompted, attach a note/comment explaining the reason for the report.Use the search function to see if the matter has been discussed previously.

(h) Before creating a topic, summarise your issue in the topic title.

(i) Do not double post. If you want to add an additional comment, edit your most recent post clearly stating the alteration.

(j) Do not post any personal details anywhere in the forums as they are visible without login.

(k) Do not post anything that label/imply the developers as swindlers, as this will be deleted and the user Banned.  

(l) New members  will have to pass moderator approval before their post can be shown in the forum.

Some members due to previous warnings may permanently have their posts needing approval.

(m) Users who report issues are instructed to update their threads as this will allow us to solve issues quicker.  Concurrently, other users can also be informed of any updates.  After a pre-determined time period, your thread will be locked/hidden.

(n)When awaiting the release of a new version of FMRTE or update, please do not post asking when it will be released. If you do your post will be removed and warnings issued at the discretion of staff.

 

Software rules

(a) Make sure you are running the latest stable version for FMRTE and the latest version for FM.

(b) The checksums for the software are available upon request should anyone require them.

(c) Backup your save(s) in case any change(s) corrupt(s) your save(s) beyond repair.  This is strongly recommended to do every time you use the software.

(d) To avoid Football Manager auto-updating, restart Steam into offline mode with this short guide: Steam (top left) > Go Offline > Restart in Offline Mode

(e) There is another method to stop FM from updating.  Backup the folder below (x = yearly release i.e. 2016, 2017, etc) to another location, however make sure you have enough disk space as this file can be large.

 

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager x

 

To revert back to the previous version, just copy and paste the above folder back into the location that you copied it from, overwriting the current folder.

(f) All users who participate in beta testing for Sport Interactive may receive support from us.  This is at the development team's discretion and they will decide if they wish to code the software to be compatible with FM beta builds.

(g) Warnings/bans will be issued at a moderator's discretion to users at any time asking where is FMRTE?, how long until FMRTE is here?, or similar.

 

Bug tracker rules

(a) Submitted bug reports will be addressed by the developers only and responses will be posted as soon as possible.

(b) Exercise patience as it can take time for the developers to assess, investigate and fix, especially when a new version is released and is in its Beta test phase.

 

Licenses rules

(a) When you have purchased a license, exercise patience and the developers will issue your license as soon as possible. Read this thread for any license issue..

(b) When you have exceeded your activations limit, submit a support ticket within your client area.  The respondent will decide whether your reason(s) for requesting a reset is/are valid.

(c) Reactivating the software on the same computer will not count towards your activations limit, however reactivating on separate systems will affect this number.

(d) If you are being asked for a free license anywhere in the forum, report them as soon as possible.  When submitting the report, include as much information as possible.

(e) All issues relating to licenses are to be reported through your client area and nowhere else in the forums.

(f) Your purchased licenses can be found in both your client area and in your email inbox.

(g) All licenses are for personal use only.  Any one found abusing this will be dealt with accordingly.
