(c) Do not disrespect, name-call, belittle or post any profanity anyone here on the forums.

(d) Do not talk about other real time editors anywhere in the forums.

(e) The staff will not tolerate use of pirated FM nor FMRTE.  If you are caught, you will be banned.

Posts rules

(a) Before posting your issue(s), you must search to see if it has already been asked/reported.

(b) Irrelevant threads will be moved to their relevant forum.  Persistent offenders will be warned/punished at a moderator's discretion.

(c) Spam posts will be deleted and the user punished at a moderator's discretion.

(d) Moderators can delete/lock/hide topics and posts that do not follow the rules and without any warning or notice.

(e) Prior to creating a topic, attach a relevant tag or tags.

(f) Do not intrude on someone else's thread.  Create your own thread for your issue(s).

(g) Before reporting anything, make sure you have made the decision after careful consideration. If prompted, attach a note/comment explaining the reason for the report.

(h) Before creating a topic, summarise your issue in the topic title.

(i) Do not double post. If you want to add an additional comment, edit your most recent post clearly stating the alteration.

(j) Do not post any personal details anywhere in the forums as they are visible without login.

(k) Do not post that label the developers as swindlers/gold diggers as they will be hidden/deleted and the user warned.  Persistent creation will result in punishment or banishment.

(l) New members who post for the first time will have to pass moderator approval before their post can be shown in the forum.

(m) Users who report issues are instructed to update their threads as this will allow us to solve issues quicker.  Concurrently, other users can also be informed of any updates.  After a pre-determined time period, your thread will be locked/hidden.

Software rules

(a) Make sure you are running the latest stable version for FMRTE and the latest version for FM.

(b) The checksums for the software are available upon request should anyone require them.

(c) Backup your save(s) in case any change(s) corrupt(s) your save(s) beyond repair.  This is strongly recommended to do every time you use the software.

(d) To avoid Football Manager auto-updating, restart Steam into offline mode with this short guide: Steam (top left) > Go Offline > Restart in Offline Mode

(e) There is another method to stop FM from updating.  Backup the folder below (x = yearly release i.e. 2016, 2017, etc) to another location, however make sure you have enough disk space as this file can be large.

C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager x

To revert back to the previous version, just copy and paste the above folder back into the location that you copied it from, overwriting the current folder.

(f) All users who participate in the SI beta testing team will not be able to use FMRTE nor will they receive support from us.  This option is used purely to test fixes for future releases and are conducted behind closed doors.

(g) Warnings/bans will be issued at a moderator's discretion to users at any time asking where is FMRTE?, how long until FMRTE is here?, or similar.

Bug tracker rules

(a) Submitted bug reports will be addressed by the developers and responses will be posted as soon as possible.

(b) Exercise patience as it can take time for the developers to assess, investigate and fix.

Licenses rules

(a) When you have purchased a license, exercise patience and the developers will issue your license as soon as possible.

(b) When you have exceeded your activations limit, submit a support ticket within your client area.  The respondent will decide whether your reason(s) for requesting a reset is/are valid.

(c) Reactivating the software on the same computer will not count towards your activations limit, however reactivating on separate systems will affect this number.

(d) If you are being asked for a free license anywhere in the forum, report them as soon as possible.  When submitting the report, include as much information as possible.

(e) All issues relating to licenses are to be reported through your client area and nowhere else in the forums.

(f) Your purchased licenses can be found in both your client area and in your email inbox.

(g) All licenses are for personal use only.  Any one found abusing this will be dealt with accordingly.
