If you have questions post in this thread do not PM staff and this thread concerns the custom start date file/s only.

 

But if you are having an issue-

1.Read this install guide

2.Provide exact details of the game version[24.3/24.0 you are using and if its PC/MAC etc

3.What Game Mode are you using[you need to select the original mode]*

4.Show a full screenshot of your editor data folder

5.Provide a link to the file you have downloaded/tried to download [if this is your issue]

6.Unable to download and have activated your license-contact support via your client area.

7.Only keep one version of this file in your folder delete all the older versions.

8.State the build you are using and game date you are wanting to start at.

 

NB- Since the update from SI to the 24.3 DB all custom start date files are created to work with that DB only.

If you want the file/s to work with the 24.0 DB you will need to test the file in that DB in the pre game editor and save it once tested

If you want older builds for FM24

check from this post here

They were for use with the 24.0 DB so you may have to test+save them in the editor for 24.3 DB

Hello @culturedleftfoot

Using this Custom startdate with Real result will make the game not adding budget?
Like in Premier League the score is up to date but when new season start most of the teams don't have transfer budget update

 

Any recommended way to fix or this is a bug?

I dont know what the issue is, when are the new budgets released is it late june?

ran a few tests this is looking like a bug in game unfortunately and SI wont be fixing any bugs now for FM24

I will try over the weekend [time allowing] to find a workaround 

 

I may try tweaking the start dates of leagues who play in the 'summer' moving them slightly, this way I should be able to get a start date to fit in with real results but it will take a few hours to try things and it may not work 

Need users to run some holiday tests using the custom start with/without any other files to see if it is a conflict with any other files

also run some tests on holiday with small db to summer 25/26 see if any change to transfer budget then

 

 

Regards above the 24/25 sponsorship deals/income is getting added to the balance of the clubs[some have a massive balance in excess of £600m] 

but the transfer budgets are not resetting they are staying fixed to what they are on game start🤬

Right first holiday test starting with custom start date of 27/5/24

found this-

transfer budget changed january 2025[its as if the game is blocking the increase in transfer budget for the first transfer window in season 24/25

second window is fine

second test same custom start date and with real results files added

 

as soon as first window closed september 24

transfer remaining budget shot up

 

in december it went up again ready for the transfer window

june 2025

so looks like there is a bug in game effecting the first transfer window using a custom start date.

I am totally over trying to fix things in this editor/game its something or other all the time.

 

see some users reporting similar bugs to SI with random negative transfer budgets here which is not fixed, also saw FFP bug that also isnt fixed teams fail FFP but nothing happens to them in game, so some major bugs they havent fixed👎

 

I will try setting up different start dates in leagues that have 'summer' fixtures already[australia/hong kong sweden etc] and see if that helps but I dont think so this is a bug

Hey there gang, I seem to be having difficulty using the custom start date and real fixtures/results.

 

I've also loaded a L20 English League add on from elsewhere so I can start lower down the pyramid.

 

The real results etc aren't coming up sadly...can anyone help?

So you are not using the result file from  here?

 You are using another mod which doesn't have results added ?

Unfortunately, with this new file, I don't get the date June 3, 2024. I can only use 28/8/2023, 11/9/2023 and 18/9/2023. As you can see in the attachted image.

 

I use this file with the 24.3.0 update.

 

Am I doing something wrong? Or can this be fixed?

Thought I had managed to fix this. The date is outside the normal dates of a season and the game doesn't like it and does bizarre things like this.

I dont think I can fix this but I will try when I get a chance over next weekend.

 

I do however have this file which is working fine  start date of 10/6/24

[I cant remove it without deleting every other Build]
