Had a quick search but couldnt find anything.

 

Currently you can edit your player shirt numbers, but you cannot edit the shirt numbers of players who are on loan at your club.
Is this something that can be added/looked into?

you can do this now as long as you have selected this on your profile/information in FMRTE

 

you can then in game change any players number at any time, even if he is on loan

In the top right corner of your profile.  You will find the three tick boxes shown above.
