I guess your skin or database is the cause but please read the link above first.

i have followed the links above...and still dont match.. i will change the skin now...but if that dont work...i need the pre-game editor...cant get hold of it anywhere, do you know any way i can get it or one, i have game on epic have tried the steam route for it cant get it...

Football Manager 2020 is no longer on the Epic Store hence why you can't get the pre-game editor on the Epic Store.  Football Manager 2022 is there.  The pre-game editor is available from Steam.

Has changing the skin worked? As I mentioned above, maybe the database is the cause.

skin didn't work unfortunately.

would the fm2022 pre game editor work for fm 2020 though??.....

i agree the database could be the cause

Ok.  The pre game editor for FM 22 will only work for FM 22.  I believe the database is the cause.  Change the value and see if they are identical.  If not then the database is the cause.

A custom database will have MANY variables that our software might not pick up.  The developers will patch the software to work from the official database, not from a custom one.

Anything within reason.  I did say to see if they are identical between the game and software.
