There needs to be a new way for this. Editing the starting contract date into the future doesn't work anymore.

what the point this feature. he's going to leave anyways. he  going to leave a a champion leagues team, for a team thats fighting  relegation.

there is no such feature you can stop the human player being sacked only, it has been requested in the suggestion forum in the sticky poll thread

 

There is no direct way of preventing AI managers from being sacked.  Indirectly, you can add Like Person Relation in the club's Relations tab.  Edit the chairman's Relations to include the manager as a Like Person.

it would appear that as per the workaround[covered in the FAQs] on how to make a player stay at a club by changing the start date/join date to be in the future, the same could be used to keep staff at a club- it is something I havent tried but in FMRTE 22 it looks like this isnt working as it was in FMRTE 21 

 

a direct option would be great and it has been requested already, anyone wanting it vote for it in linked thread couple of posts above😉
