is it possible to delete or retire a player midseason?

im thinking about the poor Davide Astori.. im playing against fiorentina and my heart cant bear to see him on the pitch =(

edit his contract to finish asap and the clause to leave at end on contract 

 

also change his age to being old and his stats very poor and give him an injury etc etc

 

he gets released straight away

 

would be good if we could remove him from DB or retire him from football
