Max stadium capacity?

Hi all,

 

I was just wondering if there was a stadium capacity limit imposed in the game? I was fooling around with FMRTE and was seeing how much revenue you get if you set the stadium capacity to 500k. This worked, however a month later the capacity would get changed to 85,000. I changed it to different amounts, but it kept getting set back to 85k. I'm sure this hasn't happened in other versions of FM and FMRTE.

Interesting, I don't think someone has experiment with this aspect of the RTE before.

The max limit is definitely not 85000.

 

I haven't tried 500k before but i've got my team's stadium at just under 96000. It's been there for the past 5 seasons.

 

Not sure if this matters or if it's linked, but on FM2010 and a corresponding FMRTE, I've had about 130k as my stadium's capacity, but I was losing money every month. Even when consistently playing to full houses. I suspect it's a critical mass thing. Beyond a certain capacity, the cost of maintaining the ground was just too high compared to my match-day ticket takings. Tried adjusting my ticket prices thru FM's pre-game editor but that one seems to have an un-editable max limit.

In the FM14 editor that you also download on steam, that maxes out at 200,000 seat stadium.

 

So if that is the case, in the game a stadium can't have more than 200,000 seats. But try pumping up the average attendance at the stadium in the clubs information page on FMRTE and see if the crowd gets higher than 200,000

It is possible to have a much higher capacity than that. I have been playing with a stadium capacity at 1,45 mil

 

Average/minimum/maximum attendance: 1,450,000

Seating Capacity/Capacity: 1,450,000

 

If i change it to 1,500,000 it changes back to 85,000. I think there are some numbers FM wont allow you to get past?

Also tried editing a bit of ticket pricing, if i put it too high it goes down to zero in FMRTE.
