Can someone please giive me an 'idiots guide' to reading the tactics screen in FMRTE?

 

DOes it show me the most effective formations to use, with players in their best postiions?

 

My four best players are GK, WML, WMR and ST - but the 'preferred tactic' FMRTE shows is 4-3-3 without two of my best players.

That's because it shows you the formation that has the best overall rating, based on the tactics that FMRTE knows (it has 24 predefined tactics, you can add more if you want..)

 

This is how it works, FMRTE shows you a list of top formations based on the tactics it knows..

 

As I said FMRTE 'knows' only a few tactics, and for each tactic it calculates the best 11 based on players condition and positional rating..

Then each formation has a overall rating  that is calculated by making the mean of the 11 selected players positional rating..

 

The 'best formation' is the one that has the best overall rating..

How u can add more tactics?

you can only add more tactics via the game, you cant add more using the app(as far as I can see anyway)

FMRTE had a subfolder with xml files such as 4-3-3.xml
Each formation it knows has one xml file.
You can duplicate and modify those. Just open them in notepad.

How do I add a new tactic within FMRTE ?
I tend to use asynchronic tactics and it would be nice to see them in FMRTE
