Listed below are frequently asked questions (with solutions).

this is a WIP and I am doing it in my spare time.

The idea is this will cover some General Questions[most things are straight forward so do not need any clarification]

Most issues are caused by not running the App correctly-RIGHT CLICK ON App Run as administrator

I would recommend in settings you set up the App-

make sure release channel is set to-stable and not Beta

You have clicked Debug Mode

You have clicked Enable Experimental Features

 I have three licences.  How many people can use them?

To clarify, the license is for one person only.  You are not allowed to share with anyone.  If anyone has any doubts, fully read the end-user license agreement.

If you share a license you will be banned and the license revoked.

Your manager profile in FMRTE

It is accessed via the Favourites Tab

click that tab and click profile

there you can edit the below options

press save after making changes

The game has been updated by SI what should I do?

The Developer will be aware and a patch/update will be released when he can do so.

Once an initial report has been made there is no need to keep stating there has been an update. 

FM26 Has been the most bugged game and wasnt ready for release it has and will need many updates so be patient as it takes time for the Dev to get a fix especially as there are several platforms and users are electing to Beta test for SI so they are on different versions of the game.

Home-takes you to the FMRTE site

Save Button-use this to save an edit made in the App

Current Screen-Displays the same person you are viewing in game

Search Filter-A detailed search option of the DB

Mass edit-Option to edit many things eg players/staff/teams quickly

Player retirement-Shows up to date details it also includes staff

Preset Manager-A brilliant feature that allows setting of presets to many options in game

Facepack installer-For managing Newgen player images

Freeze Manager-shows players/staff who have had attributes frozen

Favourites-Will show your profile, club managing and anything you have saved to favourites

Shortlists-create or load shortlists from here

Search bar-now has male female icons set up what you want to search for

Discord buton-takes you to Discord channel

Sign in-This is your log in for the forums-you do not need to sign in to use the App,I never do.

FMRTE Button-opens a sub menu 

Settings-set up how FMRTE displays various things and you can set how colums are displayed

what items are set in freezer manager etc NB press save to keep the changes you have set

Load game button-Make sure you have the game running and your current saved game fully loaded.

Then lauch FMRTE RIGHT CLICK ON App Run as administrator

Once App has opened press Load game now the current DB you are using can be accessed by FMRTE for you to view and edit.

NB you need to have a current license to edit features

How Do I transfer players 

Several options

select the player to be transferred

Swap player

click on swap player 

pick a player to swap with

pick an existing transfer on the right side of the page edit the player who you want to transfer, change the fee/date/club/wages etc to what you want

NB make sure the contract start date is same as transfer date

press save for the changes to work in game

NB In any of these methods no transfer fee is exchanged[same if you set up a future transfer fee in pre game editor] so if you want to edit the club's involved finances to reflect the fee please do so directly via the club on the finance page

How to loan a player

Select the player

Move club

click on loan 

search for club you want to send to and press save

now go to the players contract tab

you may need to refresh screen move game forward or reload game in FMRTE

check the loan details are what you want click/unclick the boxes you want to use and edit date/wages etc etc

press save when finished

How can I make a player stay at a club?

This has worked in previous versions of FMRTE I have trialled it in perfectly.  Let's call it making a player untransferable 😁.

 

My initial thought was I would love the option for a player to stay at his club for his career they would never be sold no matter if the club accepted bids for him. 

Many thanks to @agent007 who said this can be done by giving the player a Future Joined Date in the Contract options or you can also use his Contract Start Date by giving it a Future Start Date.

 

The test:

I have given some bang average player in a lower league a joining date well in the future (the player had joined in 2020 but I changed it to 2033 and his contract start date to the same and the end date to 2040)

I became Man City manager to test.  Bid for him and obviously the club accepts my bid.  The player is really poor. 

 

However the player refuses to enter into contract negotiations as he states has only just joined his current club which obviously it seems to work as he joined years ago and now has a chance to join a top EPL team and he is not interested.

 

I would suggest changing the contract dates every season just to be sure-and picking dates many years ahead.

NB you can set up a preset for this check this thread I have added it here

Another option would be to use a 'future transfer' set the player to join a club many years ahead this way he cannot be sold by his current club.

Facepack installer

This is a feature built into FMRTE that allows you to easily install facepacks into your game

Read the guide here

NB Most issues are due to users not setting the correct path for the game/FMRTE to follow

and or using packs that are not compatible

How do I create and use presets

These are a great addition to the App as you can set up and use on inviduals,several or all in the DB

it can mass edit a whole DB in seconds

Here is a guide

I also have a thread to share presets and to test -here

I do not want to use a preset on a whole team or a displayed search list

Using ctrl+click on the mouse allows you to select several items in the list so rather applying the preset for the whole team/display list/shotlist etc, you can now with presets mass edit selected players.

 

The screenshot below shows I selected 3 players players.  Right click on the last the selected playes and a menu is generated containing your preset options that relate to players. Select the preset you want to useand save 😉.

you will see I have a large custom preset list that I have carried on from different versions

NB I have found in some versions when you create a new preset it may not show up in that custom preset list.

Make sure you have saved the change by pressing ok in preset manager[I also press the save button in the App]

now press the load game button again, the new preset you created will be displayed in the preset list.

The presets will be saved to a folder within the BraCa soft folder on your Drive

you can edit these directly using notepad or similar Apps.

How do I attract better players/staff to my club?

 This has been asked many times where users have given a lower rated club lots of money and a sugar daddy yet still cannot attract better players. 

Obviously you have to be realistic, a non league club with a multi billionaire owner still isn't going to attract a top player in his prime.

  However some pointers are to set the club to professional, give the club good facilities/coaches increase the number/stadium and a much higher rating in all categories also set owner/chairman to ambitious.

Also obvious things like in the player's relation tab set them to like you and your club. Also lower their ambition to 1(if you are at a perceived lower club.)

If it is a staff member who has high Manager rating in his role attributes,

set that to low  i.e. 1 and increase the role you want him to take up to the max 20

If all fails you can use swap staff

swap/move/transfer a player options to get them to your club instantly.

Serie A non EU players

A league that has some extra rules that make it hard to bring in non EU players if you have already used your quota it is usually only 3 per season

I have explained how to remove these rules in the Pre Game Editor here

in your saved game using FMRTE 

try this -

Before buying the player set him to 

being treated as EU in Italy- make sure that box is unticked

also go to his relations page and set him to be Italian as a second nation

Player Positions

you can either set it by entering numbers in the player positions[you can enter any number between 1-20]

or by clicking on the position in the image on the right, you can click on the position several times for the numbers to go up

the range seems to be 1, 6,11,16,20 by clicking on the image

press save when finished

How to add/edit a language

Signed a new player who has limited language for his new country, you get aske to send him on a language course by pass this-

How to bypass needing a work permit

There is a preset option to edit that a player has a WP -currenly it isnt working in FM26

There is a workaround add the nation he is playing in as a second nation via his relations tab

Export/Import player Details

In the options panel you will see these buttons

it allows you to export a player's attributes-so this will save a profile prior/after editing.

via FMRTE settings you can decide what gets imported just tick what you want added

Tip-So you can use this to export a player templates eg you have a good box to box CM export his details save it name it as you wish eg - Top-BTB CM save it

you can then use this on any player no need to keep editing individual players who you want to be a good BTB player

create Templates for player positions and levels in the game eg BTB International/ BTB non league

Make Wonderkid

In the options panel you will see Make Wonderkid

press it and it generates attributes for a wonderkid in that position.

You will get a prompt asking if you want to save the unedited player first I would select export and save.

You can press the Make Wonderkid button muliple times if you wish as it is randomised you will get different results each time.

Also > FMRTE > Settings > Wonder Kid Generator Probabilities/percentages

The percentages for each attribute set.

The higher the percentage, the greater chance of having attributes values in that range. These percentages can be modified to your specification.

CA/PA Recommended CA

ticking the Box will match CA to RCA

  • CA (Current Ability): the actual total ability points the game allocates across attributes.

  • RCA (Recommended Current Ability): a calculated estimate of what the CA should be to support the current visible attributes.

  • PA (Potential Ability): the ceiling. The CA can rise with development but never exceed this.

Think of CA as a budget spent, RCA as a budget required, and PA as a budget limit.


Scenario Breakdown: When CA ≠ RCA


1. CA < RCA (CA lower than RCA)

The player’s “budget” is smaller than what his attributes currently cost. His stats are too good for his actual CA.

If PA is much higher than RCA

The player has room to grow because CA is well below PA. The game will try to fill the gap by increasing CA naturally through training and matches. Since his PA is far above both CA and RCA, he can improve quickly. Attributes will hold steady or rise until CA is close to RCA. Once CA and RCA are aligned, he will stabilize and then continue normal progression toward PA.

Result: steady improvement and fast development if his personality and training are good.

If PA is only slightly higher than RCA

There is limited headroom for CA to grow before reaching PA. CA will rise quickly until it approaches PA, often near RCA, and then slow down. Once he reaches or nearly reaches PA, progress halts and he may plateau. Attributes stabilize around their RCA levels, with only small changes afterward.

Result: quick short-term growth followed by a plateau.

If PA is lower than RCA

The player’s visible attributes are too strong for his potential ceiling. The game will reduce his attributes until RCA is close to PA. In this case, he will lose stats until his overall level fits his potential.

Result: attributes regress to fit PA.


2. CA > RCA (CA higher than RCA)

The player’s “budget” is larger than what his attributes currently cost. He is underpowered for his CA.

If PA is much higher than CA

There is room for growth, but since CA is already higher than RCA, the game sees unused ability. The player’s attributes might rise until RCA matches CA, using up the spare CA. If that does not happen, CA may gradually drop toward RCA instead.

Result: small attribute growth or slight CA decrease until balanced.

If PA is only slightly higher than CA

There is very little room for improvement. Because CA is higher than RCA, the player appears weaker than his ability value suggests. The game will reduce CA over time until it matches RCA. This appears as a gradual loss of attributes.

Result: noticeable regression until balance is restored.

If CA > PA

This combination is invalid because the player’s ability exceeds his potential. The game forces CA down to meet PA. Attributes will decline quickly until CA is less than or equal to PA.

Result: sharp decline until corrected.


3. CA ≈ RCA (within 5–10 points)

This is the ideal situation. The player’s ability matches the cost of his attributes. Training, form, and personality now determine progress. He will improve naturally toward PA or decline with age.

Result: stable, realistic development curve.

Practical editing guideline

  1. Always check RCA after editing attributes.

  2. Keep CA within 5–10 points of RCA.

  3. Ensure CA is less than or equal to PA.

  4. If you want the player to develop, make sure PA is higher than CA, but do not let RCA exceed both.

Following these rules prevents rebalancing, strange progress patterns, and sudden drops in attributes.

NB-I find that CA/RCA is not exactly the same in FMRTE as in game only the Dev could explain why there is a difference

Swap International Call Up

This is one of my favourite features because you get the real life squads for competitions if you wish,

or call up players who should been in a squad that AI are ignoring etc

You can use this also during a competition etc so if you get a player/s injured you can replace them

I use it to replace a GK in my squad nearly every comp at senior level insist on 3 so once a squad is confirmed move the game a day and swap a GK for an outfield player

you can use this feature on all age grades too

so from a national squad list[wait until AI manager has picked squad]

select the player to change

go back to the national squad page and refresh the page

the chsnge is there now only 2 GKs in the squad

NB be careful if you are swapping a senior player with an age grade one eg U21/U19 etc, if the player is too old for an age grade he is ineligible, so you will have to swap him for a player who is.

I moved Elyounoussi to U21 squad he shows INE-so he needs to be swapped with a player able to play for U21

I have signed a player and I cant register him

Perhaps he fails some specific league rules or has played for too many clubs in a season etc

make sure this is ticked and saved its in your profile page

go to the player's relation tab

remove any entry where it says games played for a club[other than the one you want him registered for]

and competition registration-remove that

click on the line you want to remove and press the - key then press save
