still preparing my next video and ahve some troubles with facepack installer.
Wanted to report it to you.

Good news : this is not (only) FMRTE fault !!

I found 2 problems with the facepack installer :
1st one is, it seems, there are facepacks who contains new subdirectory representation for ethnicity, some of them are not recognized by FMRTE (I understand they can not all be recognized !!)
some samples :
ultra realistic newgan (players and staff : 38900 files) already worked fine with FM24 / FMRTE24 (still work with FMRTE26)
Newgen Revolution megapack (5766 files, players and staff) works fine but poor in quantity
KT_Facepack (60745 files) same directory structure as the 2 previous one, but not recognized by FMRTE26 : "No face pack found" ?
NG_Regens (195472 files) more detailed file tree (see hardcopy joined) 58 subdirectories + staff + female
2nd problem is, that in case, we can generate config.xml file with facepack installer, FM2026 bugs !!
explanation :
the config.xml file generated by FMRTE contains record lines well-formed but misinterpretated by FM26 when the face to generate (ID of the player or staff) refer to a subdirectory image file (see joined hardcopy )
I submitted a correction request in the SIGames bug tracker (https://community.sports-interactive.com/bugtracker/1644_football-manager-26-bugs-tracker/all-other-issues/fm26-ignores-configxml-paths-containing-any-subfolder-or-subdirectory-r44300/)

I found a workaround permitting to made it working (very painfull workaround), I will speak about it in the next video I will publish on YT.

I'm still working on a video about the Facepack installer and I'm having trouble verifying the results.

I wanted to modify the display of players and staff (in FMRTE26), in order to show hidden information about Facepack choices, I wanted to display : gender, ethnicity, hair color and length, skin color, etc.

I can't seem to add gender to the column view, neither for players nor staff.

The staff display doesn't allow me to add any of these attributes : ethnicity, hair color and length, or skin color.
Since these informations aren't available in the FM user interface (for example, by updating a view), verifying the results is very difficult (and some of the displays are quite surprising).

I was about to mount my next video about FMRTE26, this one about "facepack installer".
I wanted to use the most valuable facepack I could find (195461 .png files, for male, female and staff) which is named NG_Regens Newgen Megapack.
It seems the structure of the unzipped folder is causing problems with FMRTE26.
While the parent directory is correctly unzipped and located in Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 26\graphics, FMRTE doesn't seem to recognize it and keeps returning the "no facepack found" error.
What are the structural constraints imposed on the faces directory?
Which facepack do you recommend using with the current version of FMRTE26?

French version has a translation problem in : club view > Finances > Sponsors and other (tab).
French version erroneously mentions "Date début de l'embargo" and "Date Fin de l'embargo", where English version displays : "Start Date" and "End Date".
"Date début de l'embargo" and "Date Fin de l'embargo" comes from the previous tab : Finances" > "Overview" "Sponsors details"

Hi, I'm managing in Serie A and so have been changing some kits over for the new season - when removing Monza's kits, and adding the new ones all appears well, but when saving everything and closing FMRTE and restarting FM, the kits aren't showing - instead I'm getting the default plain navy home kit and white away (the game's placeholders for when the kits section is empty).

Upon going back into FMRTE, all the kits i've added have moved themselves over to the goalie section, leaving the outfield kits blank.

This has happened with several teams now, Palermo, Napoli etc - sometimes all three kits, sometimes just one or two.

Going back into FMRTE and re-adding changes nothing - all appears fine, but then going back into the game the kits have all moved into the GK section again.

Most teams have edited fine, it should be noted, whether I have removed all the kits first or just edited the existing ones.

Happy to give any required information I haven't already included.

changing a staff member licence works perfectly well !! ... but is of no use alas.
I explain :
starting from "National C licence" to "Continental Pro Licence" is a very, very long travel for any staff member, it's really easy with FMRTE26,

BUT :

each step in FM add attribute points to the staff member when he gets his licence, from "National C licence" to "Continental Pro Licence" in FMRTE26 gives absolutely NO attributes point.
I know I can add them handly, but then what's the use of upgrading the licence ?

Problem doesn't occur with English language selected (tried only with french, but I think this is a more general problem).
way to reproduct it :

let's open search filter > club >Finances > Suggar Daddy (in French : Mécène) select anything you want (let's say "aucun" (none in English)) you'll get the alignement ecran KO.jpg

There is a workaround : click on "player" ("joueur" en français) then on "club" again and the form is well-sized
(not so easy to dynamically compute the screen size he ?)

This was previously working fine for me, but saving English as a person's second language now appears to be broken. I have tried changing English to "10" manually, and by using the arrow button, but with both methods after saving, it does not show in the game that the person can speak English. On then checking again in FMRTE, it shows English reset to "1".

In playing around to try getting this to work (adding English as a third language to see if it was the second spot that didn't work), I realised that other languages are saving fine, just not English (even "English (US)" works, just not regular English).

(Can confirm running FMRTE as administrator, on PC for Windows)

I am playing a custom FM26 database and tried to change a player name and it worked fine, but the second time I tried it, I ran into a couple of issues.
Name changes do not seem to be individual - for instance, if I try to change the first name "James" I get a message asking if I want to change all players named "James", rather than just the single one I am editing.
Name changes seem to need the same number of characters - for instance, if I try to rename "James" to "Jim" it will actually be "Jim " with two spaces at the end, if I try to rename "Jim" to "James" It won't let me because I am adding extra characters.

The player I did rename successfully appears fine in game with the new name (it was a Japanese player and I guess it's possible the first and second names were unique?), but when I check in the editor I can see the extra spaces after the surname (as it is a shorter second name), and if I use Genie Scout, this is more visible due to the formatting, so it shows as "xxxx , xxxxx" (surname, spaces, comma, first name). I've noticed that the surname also shows up with spaces after it during match commentary.

every time I launch the app I need to login again, this never happened in the previous years. even if it's not a proper bug it still is quite annoying, would it be possible to save the login info somehow?

All stadiums in Scotland either customer and vanilla database has 80 thousand seater stadiums which doesn't reflect the info in the game, tried changing the details within FMRTE and it still doesn't change the look of the stadium in custom and vanilla database either.

When pressing the current screen button I never get the actual player / Staff member that is on the Game itself.

Might be something extra I need to do, but playing as Napoli and even current view of my game manager profile comes up with another name
I have also tried clicking on another tab i.e contract and pressing again but doesn't work

When adding Balance (the physical attribute) as a column for players screens (does not matter if it's a search screen or a Club screen), the attribute is displayed as "Balance ($)" (the currency symbol is whichever current you have chosen in FMRTE, it's not specific to one currency) and the attribute values are all preceded with the currency symbol. I have checked to verify that the values ARE the balance attribute values of the players in question and that this isn't just a case of a team's balance being included in the wrong category of column options. This issue has been 100% reproducible across multiple screens and has existed for at least the last 2 or 3 updates to FM26.

P.S. I'm playing Football Manager 2026 on Windows 11 from Steam and "FM -> Game Status" is no longer an instruction I can follow to get the game version. I was unable to find a build number for the game anywhere in the menus. If that's important, you might need to update your instructions on how to find it.
