This is my custom start date allowing you to start FM23/24 in later seasons. I have used Marituas as the country to set this up and so if you do want to use that country to be playable you cannot use this file I use this to check files I am creating to see if they are stable and work well several years in advance without the need to sim/holiday the game for many years which depending on your system/nations loaded can take hours/days! So you could start a season up to 10 years ahead using this, without having to Sim/holiday from the 22/23 season yourself in holiday mode.The start date will be early June from 2022-2032, you pick your start up from the drop down list, The game will sim Promotions and relegations still taking place. The known drawbacks if you started in say 2026 the game would be slower on its initial first start up, but only a couple of minutes more, after this it would be as normal; there is no transfer activity you would have the same squads as per 22/23 season including the same managers,[unless you have a Mod with the up to date transfers added] but once you start playing transfer activity will start again as normal. also player stats would look as though it had been one long season in player history [as said I use this to test files only ] This cannot be used with any other custom start file and is not to be posted on any other sites I am sharing this with the FMRTE community only. Wanting to start game in 24/25 season read this below [NB There is no way of creating fixtures/result files for 24/25 season until the FM25 Pre-Game Editor comes out,and even then it may not be possible due to the unknown changes SI have made to the game/editor.] @HC16_ Option 1 There have been a few posts from users recently who seem a bit confused regards the real results and playing 24/25 season To clarify the results for all leagues covered are correct to the end of 23/24 season[they are not for the 24/25 season] but it is not possible to cover play off results see this quote from SI stating real fixtures are only meant to work with the first stage of league fixtures and that is it. this is already stated in FAQ recommended post attached to this thread- Due to the above you cannot add results for any cup competition domestic/continental including play off games. NB-continental fixtures will be simmed by the game[ so this will effect teams playing in the following season's continental comps due to coefficents there is nothing can be done about this[so things like winners of FA cups/League Cups/European Cups]. So if you use the real results files for the 23/24 season you would have to start the game with the option to 'manipulate the play offs' using FMRTE - sometime in May 2024 How to do this is by 'destroying' teams in pay offs saving the game perhaps multiple times to get the right promoted team/s winning the play off final. Otherwise you may get Norwich/West Brom/Leeds being promoted instead of Southampton @Miguel Rego Also if you use a data update to cover transfers etc eg - https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update A few users seem to suggest that using a custom start date+real results changes the contracts of players in the update, they are wrong FMRTE start date/real results is not changing anything like this it is working correctly the issue is with the other file/s the data update is set to this[check it in the editor] the loans/transfers are set to start in 2023 not 2024 So a fix would be setting up a preset in FMRTE to extend the loan contracts to end by one year later So to edit loans you would need to start a save in May before they end @rodski 👆 If users find a data update with the transfers happening on the real dates eg Mbape to Madrid in 2024 please PM me details. Option 2 You use a Mod to get all the promoted teams for the 24/25 season[you cannot use this with real results file/s with this set up and there would be no point in doing so ] eg-https://fminside.net/fmi-update/football-manager-2024/743-the-fm-update-24-25-season--august https://sortitoutsi.net/content/65384/fm24-league-updates you will have the right teams in the right leagues for the 24/25 season,with the right history but you have to start in 2023 so in game you are pretending the 23/24 season is in fact the 24/25 season!! So you need to start the game in june/july 2023 to play the 'pretend' 24/25 season[so you do not need a custom start date for this] Also loans would be ending in May/June 2024 so that is not ideal, and you cant get all the teams qualified for continental comps correct. The limitations are many - These are your options, the issue is clear the pre game editor is very limited for things like this and I take my hat off to those who provide Mods to try and fix this, and I have done so myself it takes months to complete by then the new version of the game is nearly out. but it is a huge task and IMO pointless as you are not playing the 24/25 season in 2024 or 2025 but in 2023 instead NB To be clear You cannot use real results/custom start date files with Mods like those shown above, namely having the correct teams for the 24/25 season as you would be trying to do 2 different things that are impossible. Also real fixtures/results for the 24/25 season cannot be addressed until the FM25 editor is released...and with many changes being made by SI it may not be possible to do this any longer. If you see a Mod claiming to have the real fixtures/results for the 24/25 season ...they dont it will be dates in 23/24 NB you can use FMRTE to change the fixtures in a playable league/s but that would take you many hours to do,but it is possible to. If you have questions post in this thread do not PM staff and this thread concerns the custom start date file/s only. But if you are having an issue- post the below information if you do not your post will be deleted. 1.Read this install guide 2.Provide exact details of the game version[24.3 or 24.0] you are using and if its PC/MAC etc state if you have a full license 3.What Game Mode are you using[you need to select the original mode]* 4. Add your save game into your post directly or via a download link 5.Provide a link to the file you have downloaded/tried to download [if this is your issue] 6.Unable to download and have activated your license-contact support via your client area.[you need a full license to download the files] 7.Only keep one version of this file in your folder delete all the older versions. 8.State the build you are using and game date you are wanting to start at. 9.Fully explain what your issue is 10.State all other edited files you are using. @Mahmut Can Öner 👆 @Karim Bensalem NB- Since the update from SI to the 24.3 DB all custom start date files are created to work with that DB only. If you want the file/s to work with the 24.0 DB you will need to test the file in that DB in the pre game editor and save it once tested
