FMRTE for Steam Deck/Linux

This version of FMRTE was designed to work with FM 23.4.0 running on Steam Deck Desktop mode.

Instructions

• Extract the zip file
• Run the file named "FmrteAvalonia"

How to Enable Experimental features

• Go to FMRTE Settings
• Check the 'Enable Experimental Features' checkbox
• Press the Save button

I have 23.2.0 (1771058).

 

When I 'load game' it says unable to load as it only supports the below versions 

23.1.0 (1755809)

23.0.5 (1755058)

 

I have just redownloaded and it says the same, i click on check for updates and it says it is the most recent version available.

I dont believe so, i only installed it first time a week ago and got directly from steam store

 I am not on steam deck so cant check but nothing from SI says there is an update to that version, so you are on a non public release version as far as I can see, so its as I linked you too earlier and any update will be at the Devs discretion

I'm having the same issue.

It does state on the download page that it should be compatible.

 

Tried a fresh download of fmrte and fm23 but no luck

Imany stated he was on  23.2.0 (1771058).

 

The supported version with the (1771058 build)  is shown as 23.0.5 (1771058). which was a beta version so not the same

I will tag @BraCa as the last update is for 23.2.0 but doesnt state the exact version

Brilliant work guys, thanks a lot. Just as an FYI, it also works in game mode if you download and extract first, then add the file as a non-steam game. Only issue seems to be pressing the FMRTE, favourites and shortlist buttons so it needs activating before putting in game mode.

 

Can map controls to what suits you, but I have the trackpad set as mouse with clicks as the left mouse click, 'A' set to bring the keyboard up and 'B' set as backspace. The bumpers are also set as mouse clicks. This is my preference but you may have your own.

 

Only tested for 5 minutes in game mode but seemed to be fine

Works also here in combination with Debian Linux 11 and Football Manager 2023 with Steam Proton. 👍

I try to run last version (build 22) in popos 22.04LTS and i get this error:

 

FMRTE was unable to find Football Manager 2023.

 

The version o FM23 is 23.3.0 (1808301).

 

I try to run under root permissions and get the same error.

 

How i solve this?
