  • FMRTE 20

I have downloaded build 22 that was updated to be used with 20.2.4.

When I open FMRTE and click on load game the following message appears: "An unexpected error occurred, pleased send the error.log file that was created in FMRTE folder to [email protected]"

Are you able to look into this? I'm not sure where the FMRTE folder is located in mac, so if you need me to attach the error.log file, please advise where to find this.

Cheers

Hi @f1dgh

The error only occurs when you press the 'Load game' button?

If so, go to FMRTE Settings, and click the "Open Log folder" button.

It will open finder in the folder where FMRTE stores the error.log file.

Attach the log file here, so I can take a look at it.

Thanks

I have the same issue, when I try to open log folder it says 'unexpected error' also.

Ok, can you open terminal and type this:

cp ~/.config/FMRTE20/error.log ~/Desktop

cp ~/.config/iFMRTE20/error.log ~/Desktop

I'm not sure  what the folder name is (I don't have my mac atm) so, try to enter those 2 commands in terminal.
One of them should thrown an error (as the folder won't exist).

Those commands will copy the error.log file to your Desktop, so you can easily access it

had the same issue with the error when trying to open the log via fmrte.

here's a copy of the error log file using the command you gave for the finder.

@BraCa any idea when the issue is likely to be fixed? would really appreciate if it could be soon. purposely held off updating fm until the update for fmrte was ready and its screwed me. I was really looking forward to starting a new game with January transfers.

use the top command posted in finder under "go to folder"

then click in fmrte 20 and you'll see it. duplicate and send to desktop etc.

Click on the apple logo top left of your screen, then click "about this mac". The version number will be in that window.

@elsabubs not sure, yesterday we had some issues building FMRTE for macOS, apple changed some rules, now they are more strict about apps outside of Apple Store.

I though it was working, since it worked well in my macOS, but it seems that it's not the case for others.

I am having the same issue. I am on macOS Mojave 10.14.6 I don't want to be forced to update to Catalina, heard nothing but bad things about it.

Is there a fix coming?
