I can't find the free attributes button in fmrte23. When I click on the snowflake image in the personal details area, when I turn off the application all the player stats in the game are lost

FMRTE must be running in the background to keep players frozen.

so every time i go back to the game just open fmrte and load the game it will work automatically without pressing save

Yes it should, you can always check the freezer manager to make sure, it is the snowflake icon at the top of the program, it will show a list of whom you have frozen.

Also remember to heal the player you freeze before you freeze them, you would not want to freeze them with poor morale or match fitness etc.
