They way I like to edit players is to change their CA and PA. I will let the changes take effect on their own. Sometimes the changes are instant. Other times it takes weeks or longer for the changes to happen. Is there any logic or is this random? For example I may set a CA to 150 (up from 100) and and PA to 200 (up from 150). The player may show his change in ability instantly or weeks later. Thoughts on this?

The only thing I edit is the CA and the PA. I don't touch the individual attributes, hidden or otherwise. Sometimes I will sign a greyed out youth player and assign him a PA and CA and I'll see what happens to him. Sometimes the effect is immediate sometimes it takes much longer.

yep I understand that as said it appears random

but you said The player may show his change in ability instantly or weeks later. Thoughts on this?

the ability is his CA/PA which you have changed already? so I dont know what you mean by this

and re greyed out players you shouldnt be able to edit those as they are generated by the game as a 'filler' for teams who havent got enough players
