It seems that I've reached the point in game where FMRTE is unable to load it, despite the assumption that the game version is supported. Here is the full warning text:

I am just guessing that it has to do with the in-game date (it's July 2222) since the problems started in 23rd century

 

Do you still plan on supporting old FM versions and can I expect any hot fix for this?

I would suggest this is down to the date as you highlight, only a Dev can confirm this and IIRC they do not patch/support older versions.

I know it might be a long shot, but let me make a proposal: since the tool is obviously .NET based, I might try to patch the old version myself if I get an access to the source code. It seems I am not the only one affected by this issue and I would like to contribute and help the community if I am given a chance. Almost 15 years of experience in this very technology should help
