SO Alexander Kolarov announced his retirement in My Roma save, I decided to push back his retirement using FMRTE to 30/06/2021 as he still has a lot left to give, However I stupidly also offered him a contract to become under 18s coach, so it shows him as having 'provisionally agreed to a new contract from 01/07/2020'. Everytime I pass that date he becomes a coach and retires. And I can't seem to get him back as a player.

Is there anyway I can cancel this happening as he was my player of the year (and my fave player) and I want him to keep playing, his stats are still great. I looked everywhere on FMRTE forums and in the editor itself and can't seem to find an option to stop this/cancel the coach contract offer. I need him for another year at least!

I'm hoping someone can advise as it;s annoying me! Thanks in advance

I dont think there is a lot you can do as you pinpoint the issue is offering him that contract only option is to go the point in your save before doing this as I cant see a way of removing it

 

just perhaps try to change that start date of the 'provisional'contract to a few years in the future?

obviously do this before the 01/07/20 in game date
