It would be great if you could edit player stats after different player role presets, e.g. you have a striker with a distribution of stats and you can change the numbers automatically so it best fits e.g. an advanced striker.

What you are describing can be already be done.  Just highlight the key attributes associated with the player role and change accordingly.

What I would like is for FMRTE to go further and automatically assign the best attributes for the selected player role. Points should be taken from non-important attributes, e.g. it moves points from tackling to shooting for an advanced striker. I know there's some considerations to be made:, e.g. total attribute points should be the same, which stat to take points from and which to give to, ...

 

Maybe just a dream...

I had an hunch that you wanted it done automatically, but I figured I would wait to see if that is what you are referring to.  It is not a dream, it depends on whether it can be done and I believe it can be.  Only the devs can say for definite if it can be done.
