Just started playing FM2015 again for a bit of fun with high finances and wage budget.

I have set my transfer budget, wage budget, max wage and reputation high yet although in game saves all the budgets it keeps the max budget at £4k, meaning I can't sign anyone decent.

Any fix or is it something I am doing wrong?

if you are overspending you are going to get it reduced

 

to get round it increase sponsorship deals

4.000 £ is a little more than 3% of the cash you has in your clubs balance, therefor they will not allow you to use on wages. You can set your balance higher, increase your sponsors (if I remember, you can't add sponsors in 2015), and in that way increase your wage allowed..., last it all also comes down to your clubs reputation.
