OK i've asked my board to set up a link to avoid work permit regulations, they asked if i want to choose, i said yes and i've selected a club from Croatia. They successfully set up the link. The problem is, in the link type it says: "The parent team has first option on feeder club's players". I've checked with other teams and for example, in Chelsea's affiliated clubs page, they've a link with Genk from Belgium. And in link type it says: "To avoid work permit regulations."

So it seems that my board didn't set this link up to avoid work permit even though i specifically asked them to do so. I've even tried with an Australian player, he failed to get a work permit even after appeal. And there was no option to send him to my feeder in Croatia.

Long story short: How can i change this link type?

I am sure you can do that in the RTE.  Does it say first option in FM or FMRTE or both?

It says first option in game. There are three boxes checked in FMRTE. Those are: "Players may go on loan", "Main club has first option to buy" and "Annual payment fee". There are no options in FMRTE related to work permit. That's why this is confusing. How can i change this link to work permit instead of first option?

I think there's no way to change link type in FMRTE because i tried to remove first option in FMRTE, checked other boxes etc.. but link type didn't change in game. It stands at first option. This is frustrating. It's a very simple thing to do.

Send the player(s) to Croatia and see if they can gain the nationality but to gain the nationality of that country, you will have to wait for a specific period.  Alternatively, just change the nationality of the player(s) within FMRTE.
