Is there any way to force a manager to retire (because after swapping staff it still says one of the managers is still at the club in their job history) or is there any other way to stop it displaying that he's still at Olympiacos.

alright will do, you know if there is a way to delete/retire/remove the manager from the game?

Make him old,destroy attributes, remove all his licences 

Set him to being a chairman etc anything 'non hands' on 

 

unless he has a retire date showing in FMRTE if so just edit that

Have a look at the staff page of that club, seniors (1st team). Also the section where you set what staff member does what, don't have him doing anything. If you are supposedly the manager there now, pick yourself to do what he used to do. Also chance his Staff attribute, eg - Manager from 20 to 1 and coach from 1 to 20. And if need be, make him a coach at that club, nothing else.

If I've done this right, yes it has ended it, but now it left a coach like this (displaying still at past and current job at once), do you (or anyone) know how to work the staff retire dates etc. in the preset manager or if/how the "Is retiring after spell at current club" button works?

Of create this preset. With the date, you put 10 days later. Then go to your staff you want gone. UNTICK bottom right corner because this will retire all your staff. After you untick it, click on the staff member you want to retire, it should say 1 Staff Member, then click on the RETIRE Preset. Click Save. Process in game. If this is create correctly, that staff member should retire after 10 days
