I use the settings as in the picture, but the staff contract expiration date doesn't change.

This is where you can edit the staff contract expiry date, the way you are doing it does not seem to work. Are you trying to edit multiple staff at once?

yes sir, I'm in need of setting up the expiry date of the contract with a lot of staff.

 

I've tried going through the preset manager with the image above but there's no change.

You will have to set them one at a time as I have shown above.

I am having no issues with this 

you need to select this as a preset😉

then you can mass edit staff👇

 

I am also tagging you into a thread, please in future post all the information required if you get any issues
