  • FMRTE 23
  • Build: 23
  • Game Store: Steam
  • Game Version: 23.2.0 1808301

About three days ago both FMRTE build 20 and the game started as usual.  However, FMRTE then tells me "FMRTE was able to load your game, but this version might not be fully supported by FMRTE.  An update for FMRTE should be released as soon as possible".  Are you aware of this issue?

Today I was advised "A new version of FMRTE (23.3.0.21) is available".  I clicked the update button and it installed.  However, when I attempted to load a game nothing happened and no error messages were generated.  In the light of your feedback that this is not a bug, then I am afraid that I do not know how this should be classified.Update.thumb.png.71e45e2b21a2d9efe050ebabd96bec38.png

Hello "Culturedleftfoot",

My issue is not that my saved game will not load.  It is that FMRTE will not start after I have applied the update.  I have also uninstalled and reininstalled FMRTE but still FMRTE will not start.

I have researched this issue further and have resolved the problem as follows: -

  1. In the "Privacy & security" section of Windows 11 I set "Show hidden and system files" so that I could see all files.
  2. I then went to the FMRTE folder in the C drive under Users/myname/AppData/Roaming where I found a folder called FMRTE23.  I deleted the whole folder
  3. Then I uninstalled FMRTE and rebooted the PC
  4. Finally I installed FMRTE 23 as Administrator using a file downloaded from this site

FMRTE now works perfectly

This morning I decided to play FM2023 so I loaded it up again.  I clicked on FMRTE23 but nothing happened - it appeared not to start.  However, when I opened "Task Manager" it showed that FMRTE had started and was running -strange!  I then uninstalled and reinstalled FMRTE23 and it worked again. Then when I closed FMRTE23 and start it again, I found that again that it did not start,  Clearly some critcal element of FMRTE23 is being impaired when the software is closed down.

Hello,

I have examined the error logs and established that the problem occurs when FMRTE is closed.  I have attached a document which may be helpful in enabling you to resolve the issue.

Kind regards,

Stan
