[18] - Stadium stands empty

Featured Replies

What bugs/issues did you encounter:

What is your FM version: 18.3.4

What is your FMRTE version: 18

Which operating system are you using: Windows 10

Unsure how to produce an error.log file, but as follows is the description of the bug.

NOTE: this has been covered already on this post in February 2017, and presumably FM2016. The bug is still present for me in FM2018.

My Tottenham team moved to their new stadium, however 2x of the corner stands were missing, so I used FMRTE to create these stands.

The next time I played a game at home, the two corner stands created were completely empty, despite the game being a sell-out.

Looking further, it appears this bug only occurs in league games. Cup games played at the same ground are unaffected. I also managed to get my stadium expanded (resulting in playing at Wembley for (ANOTHER!!) season), however when we played in the newly expanded stadium the two corner stands still remained empty.

I have attached a screenshot of both the 3D match engine showing one of the two empty stands (the other one is to the top-right of the stand shown), and also one of the 3D Details page on FMRTE for 'New White Hart Lane'.

thanks for reporting and the detailed textbook post 👍...if only everyone did this

just of the top of my head is there an imposed max  capacity when a new stadium is built in EPL??

My friend was involved in Liberty stadium build and the capacity had to go up in stages for league games due to safety checks??

ask over at SI if this is hardcoded into the DB mate

other thing even though those stands show empty what did the actual attendance show was it full??

as you say in cup games those stands were used and it usually a lesser attendance in cup games

No worries.

I probably should have stated domestic cup games.. Just played a Champions League game at home and the corner stands were still empty.

Below screenshot shows a UCL game with an attendance of 92,010 out of 92,250 and the two stands empty - if those two corner stands were empty then it would only allow a maximum of 60,626 based on the FMRTE screen.

In-game the year is 2026 so the stadium would have been in use for 8 years.. Surely if incremental capacity increases were implemented in the game then this would have been fully utilised by this point?

thats the crux its just superficial in game and doesnt look right

if the capacity is being met (those 2 empty stands would mean a far reduced attendance)

lets see what the devs say
