I have just ran the update to 18.03.07 for the new patch and had Kaspersky report the following:

  • 04.11.2017 21.05.40;Detected object (file) deleted;D:\FMRTE 18\FMRTE.exe;D:\FMRTE 18\FMRTE.exe;HEUR:Trojan.Win32.Generic

and then it performed the following clean-up actions:

  • 04.11.2017 21.05.40;Detected object (file) moved to Quarantine;D:\FMRTE 18\FMRTE.exe;D:\FMRTE 18\FMRTE.exe;HEUR:Trojan.Win32.Generic
  • 04.11.2017 21.05.25;Detected object (startup object) deleted;C:\Users\Public\Desktop\miniFMRTE.lnk;C:\Users\Public\Desktop\miniFMRTE.lnk;HEUR:Trojan.Win32.Generic
  • 04.11.2017 21.05.25;Detected object (startup object) deleted;C:\Users\Public\Desktop\FMRTE 18.lnk;C:\Users\Public\Desktop\FMRTE 18.lnk;HEUR:Trojan.Win32.Generic
  • 04.11.2017 21.05.18;Object (file) detected;D:\FMRTE 18\FMRTE.exe;D:\FMRTE 18\FMRTE.exe;HEUR:Trojan.Win32.Generic

FMRTE was fine in previous versions and I was happily using it.

I have just downloaded the FMRTE 18.03.07 to check whether it was a file added by the update process or whether it was the install file and it looks like this is part of the build as the file was immediately removed.

I have also also tried with Virus Total (the same as you used on the previous false-positive) and received two positives from 65 from Kaspersky and ZoneAlarm.  The details are:

  • BraCa changed the title to [False Positive] FMRTE detected as virus
