Is there anyway to create a new city, that doesn't already exist in game, for a team through the editor or do you know how to create a xml file to create a city?
As the city (or more aptly, a town) doesn't exist in game would it technically have to be created as a regen?
Let me elaborate a bit...
I play on Stokesley Sports Club FC, via a England Level 11 mod and on the editor it says the team in based in Middlesbrough. Whereas the team is actually based in a town outside of Middlesbrough called Stokesley.
Whereas, in comparison, Great Ayton United, a nearby team, the town Great Ayton exists in the game? eh?
Therefore, without starting a brand new game and using the Official FM26 Pre-editor (which I haven't got quite got the right hang of anyway), I guess you could just modify, say Great Ayton to be Stokesley instead, or place Stokesley Sports Club FC in Great Ayton but you see, Great Ayton United football team isn't in Stokesley.
I can't remember how or if the town previously existed in FM24 or whether it was part of the mod, which is where the team's origin was correct.
As I use the FMRTE 26 editor, I thought I would come to you with this question as I can't find anything here or on the Sports Interactive, FMScout, Sortitoutsi etc forums to help me and only Google searches give me YouTube videos with presenters using the Official FM26 Pre-Editor.
As regens can be created in game as per a new ID i.e 200XXXXXXX, can a new city be created this way?
I know after following instructions on how to change a stadium name and insert a xml file into the games database files, I realise this is editing a pre-existing ID, but with the similar criteria, using a regen, can this be done with say, cities?
