Issue:

I'm stuck unable to register several players for the 2026-27 AFC Champions League Elite. This is not a normal deadline issue — the registration screen itself appears locked for this competition (confirm button unavailable / no way to select players for it), even though the domestic K League 1 registration works fine.

What I've tried so far:

1. "Allow Squad Registration Anytime" (Manager options) — enabled and saved, but the AFC CL Elite registration screen still doesn't let me add/confirm players. Only domestic registration seems affected by this toggle.

2. The shared "Player Squad Registration.json" preset from the "Sharing Presets and testing Presets" thread — this appears to only handle Domestic club registration. Looking at the preset file itself:

3. I also found that the FMRTE Features page mentions "Register player for UEFA Squad Registration" as an example Custom Action, which suggests there may be a separate CustomType specifically for UEFA continental registration — but nothing equivalent seems to exist for AFC.

4. I also tried manually adding a "Competition Registration" entry via the player's Relationships tab and selecting AFC as the target competition. When I do this, the resulting Registration value displays as "Unknown (3)" — but this is NOT one of the selectable options when adding a new entry (the dropdown doesn't offer "Unknown (3)" or anything AFC-specific as a choice). I only see this "Unknown (3)" value pre-existing on players who have already played AFC CL Elite matches this season (see attached screenshot), not as something I can newly assign. So it looks like the underlying game data supports this registration type, but the FMRTE UI doesn't expose it as an addable option.

Questions:

1. Is "Unknown (3)" the internal value for AFC Champions League Elite registration? If so, why isn't it selectable in the Relationships tab UI when adding a new entry, and is there a way (via preset CustomType/ExtraParameter, or otherwise) to assign it to a player?

2. Is there an existing CustomType value for AFC Champions League Elite (or continental registration generally, outside of Europe/UEFA)? If so, what is the correct string?

3. Does the "ExtraParameter" field in the preset JSON accept a competition ID or name? If so, what format/value is expected?

4. If AFC Champions League Elite registration isn't currently supported by any built-in Custom Action, is this something that could be added? There was an old suggestion thread from 2018 ("CONTINENTAL REGISTRATION") requesting exactly this that seems to have gone unanswered.

The issue highlighted above in red seems to be a game issue and that needs to be reported to SI

as regards Fmrte -

have you ticked this box?

as regards presets and UEFA being there and AFC CL Elite not showing up that can only be resolved by the Dev who needs to add that comp if possible.

I suggest you contact him via support- go to your client area -support-click new support request and submit a request there

shows how to register a player at anytime,

however the issue it looks like you have a game bug , and FMRTE doesnt give the comp you want as an option

contact the Dev via support when free and ask on SI forums if it is a known bug

Yes, I already had "Allow Squad Registration Anytime" ticked (and saved via FMRTE whilst advancing at least a week in in-game time) — but it didn't resolve the AFC CL Elite registration screen, which still shows as "closed." I have tried applying other option changes for verification purposes, and it was applied correctly within 3 days of in-game time. Domestic K League 1 registration works fine on the same save, so this toggle doesn't seem to affect the continental competition specifically.

I'll go ahead and open a support request for the AFC CL Elite preset addition as you suggested.
