See when editing a future contract, is there anyway to change the signing on fee? It can be changed after they sign but before it just says 0 then when they sign it has the amount they agreed on

I usually do that by editing a future transfer.

If you edit a future transfer you have to set up a date of that future transfer.

You can edit the fee or the transfer amount, the date on which the contract will begin is normally the same as the transfer date and the end date of the contract.

No what I mean. In game you offer a contract to a player after you have a player transfer fee agreed

once the player accepts the contract you offer in game you go on to FMRTE and you can remove all the bonuses or yearly wage rises but the signing on fee is 0 on FMRTE.

when the player joins your club. His signing on fee is now what was agreed at first. You can then remove it on FMRTE because it now has the fee on Fmrte

I am wondering if it can be removed before the players signs for the club

Ok i understand. Try to quit FMRTE and reload the game again and see if the information about the player update before the actually signing.
