Does anyone know how i could fix an issue i have run into?

 

single player FM 22 Build ID: 7862651 with Steam online which was last updated on 24th December 2021. FMRTE 22.2.0 (Build 19) 

 

Problem:

I had a bad director of sports and tried to "swap staff" him to another director of sports from another club...

 

Although it normally works with all the other coaches and such, it didn't work this time.

The Director from the other club was not part of my staff, but my director still figured in my staff although under "team/club" it said another club (Sevilla)...

I tried to change his contract to end and also switch him for other clubs none of them worked... I then offered him another contract in game as a scout, that worked, but the problem is that now in game my Director of football is still occupied 1/1, but i don't have one

 

Any ideas please?

This can happen when staff members have 2 roles in thier current club. Did you check of that before the swap ex. You can swap coach with coach but it can mess up if the other coach is also for exemple a scout.

 

Did you save game before the swap? Easiet way to do this is .XML file, You should export XML of that staff members you want and then import to your own.

The .XML would be a solution, but right now the problem is that i cannot find the "Director of sports" in the "staff" section of FMRTE, and i can not find it in the staff in the game either, but still in the game director of sport is written as 1/1 and when i hover the mouse over the icon, i see the name of the old sportsdrirector, but no contract info or anything else...its like a ghost data entry

In game picture look at the "director1" file, it shows 1/1 sports director.

 

When i hover over the green man that represents the sports director, you can see in picture "greenguy.jpg" you can see the man is a "scout" and he used to be the sports director.

 

In the last picture from FMRTE you can see the list has no sports director but the scout is there...

 

I'm completly lost as too any solution

You should sack your "Harvey Charnock" and go to other staff member who you did swap with and make his contract expire so he leaves that club. If you did more than 1 swap with DOF that you should make all those contract expire. I think game is still recognizing one of them as DOF. You should have save before doing any kind of swap. Maybe this makes the problem go away
