Retired From Int Foot Error

I have a player who's retired from international football.  The Retired From Int. Foot flag is blank in FMRTE, when I add and then clear it, it prompts the following error:

FMRTE17.3.1 b20 on FM17 17.3.1 on macOS 10.12.5 on MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015).
 
How to un-retire the player?
