FMRTE 2010 V4.0.010 Search Problem

I can't get the search function to work when trying to add a New Relation in FMRTE v4.0.010. I can select the "Type", I then click on the search icon and I am able to enter a team name, club, etc. but clicking on "Apply" just closes the search! (the "Type" remains).

 

It worked fine on V3.0.231 (which has stopped working on my computer :(). Does the feature not work in this version, or am I doing something stupid? Any help would be much appreciated.
