If I rename the player into something else, many other players with that name will be renamed also + savegame crashes in 2019 spring-summer (not sure if it is the reason though).

But what if I duplicate a player and rename him how ever I want?

Or is there any other way to make a new player? Will it be bugless?

Easiest and least buggy way would be to alter the name of an existing player using an .lnc file and changing the other attributes with FMRTE.

Adding "CHANGE_PLAYER_NAME" 1234567890 "Cyrus" "" "Ramsey" to a .lnc file (open with notepad) will rename the played with that ID (enable show ID in FM settings to easily identify the player you want to change) to, in this example scenario, 'Cyrus Ramsey'.

The pair of double quotes between the first and last name is for a common name/nickname, but can be left empty.

edit: If you make the change while the game is running, you have to restart the game to see the effect.

edit2: Assuming default settings, the location of these lnc files should be: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 2013\data\db\[the number of the DB version you're using]\lnc\all
