Changing player's determination stat only

Hi, I'd like to increase a player's determination stat but when I do that nearly all the other stats are also changing (some up, some down). Is there a way to increase only determination without touching other stats at all?

This is what I mean, in FMRTE I've only changed a player's determination from 7 to 15, yet a lot of other stats also changed, while I'd like to keep them untouched.

What is your FM version: FM 19 PC

What is your FMRTE version: FMRTE 19.3.2

Are you Beta testing for S.I. No

Are you running FMRTE as administratorYES

Hello,

When you edit something and press `Save` FMRTE will save all those attributes back in game (even those that you didn't change).

When a value changes without you editing it in FMRTE, it can be one of these things:

  • It was an expected change, caused by the game (some attributes are dynamic, like condition, jadeness, etc)
  • You had your player tab opened for some time and the data is outdated (you should press the refresh button)
  • A bug in FMRTE

But it's not normal, if FMRTE changes those values.

I'm sorry but I think I still don't understand. I only load the game data, open a player's profile, change his determination and click the save icon. Is there a way to prevent other stats changing? As shown in the image I uploaded.

1. I don't think so, it happened immediately after I saved it in FMRTE.

2. Definitely not the case, freshly opened tab.

I looked at that image, but I don't see anyother change, what attribute has changed besides Determination?

Hmm sorry, I'm pretty new, I thought the arrows mean that the attribute has changed, additionally when I go into "Attributes Changes" tab in FM it shows stats have dropped / increased.

Let me use another player as an example:

Here I also changed only his determination stat from 16 to 18 and again there are far more arrows than before, now when I go into "Attributes Changes" tab under "Development" in FM this is what I see:

Here I only highlighted attributes that changed after I changed his determination, as you can see on the graph, although the full numbers hasn't change they actually did. For example:

- teamwork changed from 16,4 to 16,0

- free kick taking changed from 13,6 to 14,0

- penalty taking changed from 7,4 to 7,0

All those attributes seemed to have been rounded up/down to a full number, so while in the "Overview" teamwork's 16 is still visually 16 it actually went down, the "Overview" only shows rounded up numbers so we don't see it there yet in the "Attributes Changes" tab it's clearly seen that all the attributes have been rounded up or down to the nearest full number.

Ok, cool, I've got the problem, in fact some attributes are 0-100, but FMRTE shows then 1-20 (like the game does) as such we have to round them, this explains why you see this behaviour.

We can try to add an option, that would let you choose if you want to see attributes 1-20 ou 1-100 (in the later, there would be no rounding)

Edit: There is a little 'hack' you can do to achieve this:

  • Close FMRTE
  • Go to FMRTE Folder (usually C:\BraCa Soft\FMRTE 19)
  • Open config.xml file
  • Change this line from
      <AttributesRange>20</AttributesRange>
    to
      <AttributesRange>1</AttributesRange>
  • Save the config.xml file
  • Open FMRTE, and load your game
  • FMRTE won't round attributes anymore
  • Thanks 2

That'd be amazing.

It worked! You're a GOD mate, thank you so much! I'm incredibly pedantic and was losing my mind over those small changes in other attributes, you saved me!

Still works but I've noticed one weird thing while doing that:

Current Rating and Potential Rating are always 99,99%, is it something I should be worried about or as long as I won't change that it's fine?

EDIT: Also found a similar issue with "Scout Information" tab, just letting you know:

EDIT 2: I made a small test and it seems like those 99,99% doesn't change anything if left untouched, when I switched back to 1-20 attributes those details %'s are still the same as before my edit so this appears to be only a visual thing probably due to large (1-100) numbers, so editing with those 99,99% down there should be fine.
